About St Mary's Church

About us

St Mary's is the local church for Iffley, Rose Hill and Donnington in South East Oxford. We are a vibrant and welcoming community, and our church building is famous for its beauty and architectural interest.

Our Vision

We are committed to the Diocese of Oxford vision to be:

A Christ-like Church for the sake of God’s world: contemplative, compassionate, courageous.

By Bus

The nearest bus stops are:
The Oval, Rose Hill (3, 3S, 45) – 7 minute walk
Iffley Turn (3, 3A) – 12 minute walk

By Car

There is currently free parking outside the main gate and along Church Way. Please note that Iffley is not accessible for coaches or other large vehicles.

 

Accessibility

We are committed to being inclusive and accessible to all people who would like to join us.

There is a loop system in church, and we provide large print orders of service for all services.

We have access for wheelchair users. Our church has steps within it to the altar rail and the clergy team always take communion to those who need to remain in their seats.

We livestream the 10am Sunday service, and those who join us are considered part of our church family.

Kids & Youth

We have space for pram/buggy parking, and there are baby changing facilities and toilets within the vestry and church hall.

There is a creche for pre-school children and babies during the 10 o’clock Sunday service which has a live link to the service. Parents need to remain with their children.

Fish and Chip Club runs for primary school aged children in term-time during the 10 o’clock Sunday service.
