Needed – 500 hands! Help artist Kassandra Isaacson create a giant collage of THE LONG LIFE OF THE IFFLEY YEW TREE. Families, art-lovers, historians, yew-tree explorers, this unique Art Weeks event needs you to launch a community art project.
There are treasure hunts for toddlers, detective trails for children, tours for adults and a chance for anyone over the age of 8 to climb the bell-tower. Enjoy the outstanding art and sculpture ranging from the 12th to the 21st century at Iffley church, and discover the ancient yew tree in the churchyard, said to be the oldest yew in Oxfordshire.
Come any time between 11 and 4, stay as long as you like, bring a picnic or buy light refreshments.
If you can’t come this Saturday, drop in on 9 or 10 September when you can take part again.
Enjoy the surroundings of Iffley Church, and immerse yourself and your children in colour, clay and collage.
