UPDATE FROM ANDREW AND SARAH MCKEARNEY
3/11/17
On 20 November Andrew will be operated on to remove the tumour in his pituitary gland (located behind the eyes). In nearly every case the tumour is benign and removing it restores the eyesight. It is hoped that the tumour can be completely removed, but if not the operation will be followed up with radiotherapy. Drugs will continue to be needed to compensate for the damage done to the pituitary gland. He should be back in the parish in the New Year.
The news about Sarah’s foot is encouraging and it is now beginning to heal.
