Hall Overview

Our Church Hall is a characterful grade II listed building in the centre of Iffley village, only a few yards from the church. It is available to hire for regular sessions, such as dancing or meditation classes, or for one-off private functions, including meetings, celebrations and concerts. The hall has capacity for 125 people standing, or 100 seated with chairs set out in a lecture style layout. It is fully accessible, with wheelchair access, disabled toilet, and hearing loop.

Facilities

  • Well-equipped kitchen, including fridge, cooker, dishwasher and serving hatch.
  • Crockery and cutlery for 100 people.
  • 100 chairs and 14 trestle tables (152cmx69cm, 71cm high).
  • Wi-Fi.
  • Ceiling-mounted projector and screen.
  • Upright piano.
  • Courtyard garden and children’s play area.
  • Wheelchair access, disabled toilet and hearing loop.
  • Free on-street parking.

Availability

The hall is available to hire from 8.30am–11pm, Monday to Saturday, and 12.30pm–6pm on Sundays. To make a booking or to find out if the hall if available on a specific date, please contact the hall administrator (see ‘How to book the hall’ below for contact details)

Prices

Private Function – £25 / hour weekday daytime (until 6pm) – £35 / hour evenings & weekends

Regular Hire – £19 / hour weekday daytime (until 6pm) – £25 / hour evenings & weekends

All bookings subject to a £75 refundable deposit fee.

Recognised charities may be eligible to hire the hall at a reduced rate.

Important Info & Docs

  • Please note that Iffley is not accessible for coaches or other large vehicles.
  • Please note, we are currently unable to hire the hall for wedding reception parties.
  • The hall is hired subject to certain Terms and Conditions of hire (see below). Please read these carefully to make sure that you understand the conditions, and that the hall is a suitable venue for your event.
  • The hall is held by the Parochial Church Council on trusts which permit it to be used only for purposes which are consistent with the beliefs and practices of the Church of England. We reserve the right to refuse any booking which may conflict with the Council’s Christian purpose and ethos, or its charitable status.
